Venus is the ruling planet of Libra and Taurus. Whereas Venus in Taurus concentrates on honouring the divine through nature, food, love, enjoyment of music and the sensual side of life, Libra (an air sign) has a loftier remit – aligning the physical self with the divine through creativity, inspiration and poetry. Venus speaks and acts from the heart and many great Libran songwriters and dancers express their talents through the element of air – words, tones, movement and frequencies.
Bringing us out of the Autumn Equinox, Libra seeks balance. When anything is out of alignment, friction occurs. Inner and outer, male and female, conscious and subconscious, higher and lower; all these aspects of ourselves are recalibrated at this time.
Our relationships with others can be brought into equilibrium and flow as the planets move through this sign. Libra is the sign of relationships, yet the real relationship is the one we have within ourselves. One symbol for Libra is the Dove of Peace.

Physically Libra is an Air sign, creativity and harmony are centre stage this month. Any creative activities are blessed during this phase. Dancing, singing, writing, poetry, interior design, fashion & style, jewellery design and playing melodious instruments. Watch out for your sweet tooth as most Librans I have met love cakes and sugary foods.
Crystals and the healing power of colour are my favourite study for the month of Libra. Mentally Libra is the higher expression of Venus. The heart should always rule the head (as long as the heart is centred). After the more mental energy of Virgo last month, it is good to reconnect with our inner love and joy.
Soulfully Libra is Divine order. It is also the sign of relationships. Passive/Aggressive tendencies can surface at this time as the Libra/Aries axis seeks to find the middle ground. Librans can often put themselves second in order to prevent conflict but the repressed feelings can cause health problems further down the line. Somewhat over romantic, what we learn here is the need to embrace unconditional Love. Our real relationship is primarily with our higher/inner soul self.
