This is also a place where you can experience what life is like in the Balinese countryside. Bask in the peacefulness of the local village where all living beings are one or let nature guide your days, from rising with the roosters to cooling off as the sun sinks below the horizon.

At Blue Karma Dijiwa Ubud you don’t need to leave the resort to immerse yourself in the natural surroundings.

As the name suggests Blue Karma is a haven of tranquility, and once you’ve taken a yoga class in the beautiful Shala, you can take a much needed dip in the gorgeous infinity pool overlooking rice paddies and the jungle. The vibe here is relaxed and chilled out, with much emphasis on educating and instructing guests.

There are guided treks through the rice paddies and jungle, instruction on making ancient Balinese remedies and community classes that you can share with local children.

Accommodation

The 15 individual rooms made from reclaimed Javanese teak are a clever mixture of traditional architecture with modern bathrooms and huge bedrooms overlooking the jungle.

Traditional Javanese Joglos are dotted around the grounds, where you can enjoy a massage or simply relax listening to the sounds of the forest.

Luxuriate in the comfort of our rooms and you’ll be treated to sweeping views out of the large windows that let in natural light and gentle breezes. Some of our rooms also have semi-outdoor bathrooms where you can gaze out at verdant gardens and the unique wildlife that inhabits them.

The restaurant has a selection of Western and Indonesian cuisine, many of the vegetables are grown in the hotel gardens.

Half-Day Spiritual Cleansing at Sebatu Holly Spring water

Accompany by local priest, take time on this private tour to cleanse spiritually at the sebatu holly water temple. Also experience the one hour hatha yoga class before or after heading to the purification. On the way back from the purification you can enjoy the rice terrace view in Tegallalang.

Batur Volcano Sunrise trekking

Catch the magnificent sight of the red sky when it appears during the beautiful sunrise from the top of the volcano. Walk around the rim of the volcanic cone and continue to the second crater, which last erupted in 1926, the third crater that erupted in 1963 and the youngest crater that erupted in 1974 and again in 1994. Descending from the crater you will climb down to the black sand that was originally lava that flowed during the eruption.

Cycle downhill from Kintamani

Downhill cycling tour will take you away from your busy schedule for a day to discover the lush and green view of this incredible island and escape the city for a while. We start our day by picking you up at your hotel and drive to Tegallalang village for a morning coffee break. Later we drive you up to our start point in Abuan village.

Our cycling tour is mostly downhill around 22 km of local village, traditional house, Hindu temple, rice field and learning the local irrigation system called Subak and finishing off at the Greenkubu Cafe with local cuisine.

Ayung river rafting

Ride the region's most exciting rapids. Wind down the scenic Ayung River, travelling through deep valleys with towering cliffs and cascading waterfalls. This thrilling two-hour tour is led by experts and is suitable for anyone with a sense of adventure. Enjoy a buffet lunch served at the finish point before transferred back to the hotel. This is an all-inclusive tour.
