Gingerbread House, Worcestershire | Cotswolds (sleeps 9)
This grade two listed Tudor style / Jacobean property from 1640 is quirky, wonky, wobbly and full of period charm.
From its panelled walls and exposed beams, to inglenook fireplaces and original flag floors, there’s charm-a-plenty at the Gingerbread House.
The house sits in 1.5 acres of rolling meadow gardens with mature trees, riverside calm and bags of peace and quiet.

There are six bedrooms and nine beds, with the breakdown as follows:
Blue room: King and single bed, furthest from bathroom
Post room: King and cot, second furthest from bathroom
Mannequin room: King with en suite bathroom
Nursery: Single next to family bathroom
Map room: Single downstairs next to toilet
Family room (up separate staircase): King and two singles, with en suite bathroom
Facilities
There’s a large ‘library’ that can be used for classes with room for around 8-10 to do yoga or similar floor work. (Note there’s a sofa and two armchairs that can be moved to do this).
There’s also a comfortable lounge with wood-burning stove, large dine-in kitchen with farmhouse table that fits 8-10 and a dining room that seats up to 12. There are two downstairs toilets and there’s parking for around 7 cars in the drive. In addition there’s 1.5 acres of private gardens for outdoor classes and workshops.
Yoga Spaces & Equipment
The library and lawn spaces are best for most classes, and all equipment will need to be provided by the tutors who hire the house.
Food / Catering
We have a chef/cook who caters to different dietary requirements and loves to make informal family-style hearty healthy meals three times a day. Breakfasts are a help-yourself relaxed affair of overnight oats, smoothies, yoghurt, pastries and porridge. Lunch is frittata, soups, salads etc and dinner is often a curry or other tasty international dish to all dig in and share.
Location and how to get there
We’re located ten minutes from Evesham train station which is 2-hours direct from London Paddington station and lots of other places. We’re also centrally located in the UK just north of the Cotswolds and an hour south of Birmingham airport.
