A restorative week on the beautiful Balearic island of Ibiza. Hidden in the hills of Sant Josep, our villa is surrounded by vibrant green gardens with sea views. This setting will be your home for the week, and it will be a sacred space where you can experience Sadhana, a Sanskrit word that means disciplined and dedicated practice.

​The week is comprised of yoga, meditation, walks and much more. Whether you are seeking solitude or a shared experience, you will have opportunity for both.​​ Connection to oneself, to one another, to your environment. It is our hope that you will leave us feeling energised, rebalanced and restored.

Sadhana Ibiza has been created to encourage you to experience life in the present. Through sound, sight, smell, taste and touch, the week aims to enhance your wellbeing. Your week will include:​

​Your classes will take place on the yoga deck within our garden. Beginners through to advanced practitioners of yoga are welcome, as classes are suitable for all levels.

Your Teachers

Andrea

Having found yoga in 2014, it is no coincidence that my decade long binge drinking, and gambling habits dissolved and finally disappeared. My self-sabotaging habits of frustration, judgement and resentment turned into patience, compassion, and gratitude.

I soon discovered that my perception of reality was changing through yoga and meditation. I was no longer the clothes I was wearing, the car I was driving, the parties I was attending. With continued Sadhana I discovered I am not even my name, nationality, or physical body. This led me to a place of acceptance to right here, right now.

After completing my yoga teacher training in Ibiza, I felt passionate about sharing with others the joy and inner peace yoga and meditation gives me daily. Thus, I was compelled to create a week that enables you to surrender, feel tranquillity, and experience Ibiza’s magical sunrises and sunsets.

I was introduced to yoga by Andrea when he gave me a copy of the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. The book revealed that my values for life are aligned with a yogic life in many ways. What was missing was the physical practice of yoga, the asanas.

I began attending classes, and over the course of a year I fell in love with Andrea and yoga. Ever since I have studied the practice and philosophy of this ancient, authentic way of life. I have learned that the energy flowing through me, flows through everyone and everything. Now with Andrea, I am seeking to share my experiences, energy and knowledge with you.

Venue

Our yoga holidays are hosted in a modern, finca style villa on the island of Ibiza. Featuring decor from around the world, the villa becomes a home to all who visit.

Yoga and Breathwork

Yogasana
Yogasana is a creative style of Vinyasa yoga, where poses are linked together with the breath in a flowing sequence. The poses originate from the Indian schools of Hatha and Ashtanga, but since there is no set sequence in Yogasana, the poses, pace and intensity varies depending on the teacher. What is central to the style is that Yogasana is a physical, as well as spiritual practice

Sivananda
The practice of Sivananda Yoga is intended to tone and strengthen all the muscle groups of the body. There are 12 basic poses within Sivananda and these poses are considered much more than just stretching. In time, the poses consciously become a mental exercise in concentration and meditation

Yin
Yin yoga is a slow style of yoga, where poses are held for minutes at a time. There is no set sequence, but all of the poses work deeply into tendons, ligaments and fascia surrounding target joints. Unlike other schools of yoga, Yin incorporates principles and philosophy from Taoism and Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Breathwork
Breathwork refers to breathing exercises or techniques. They are often performed to improve mental, physical, and spiritual wellbeing. During breathwork you intentionally change your breathing to affect your body.

Opening and Closing Circle
Much like satsang, a Sanskrit word that means “gathering together for the truth” or “being with the truth”, we will sit together to open and close our week together. It will be safe space for us to share our truths.

Meditation is a mental exercise that involves awareness, focus and relaxation. Meditation is to the mind what physical exercise is to the body. We will practice various types of meditation throughout the week.

The Food

Your food for the week will be vegetarian. Where possible, locally sourced, seasonal, hand picked food will be the basis of all your meals. The benefits to eating a vegetarian diet are many and all lead to longevity. Together with our chef, Wendy, we aim to ensure that you feel nourished and satisfied throughout your week.

Wendy will be your chef for the week. With 30 years experience, Wendy has worked on many yoga retreats and holidays in Ibiza. Wendy believes that living on the island has given her the opportunity to live a healthy life in communion with nature.

This means that her work is not only about sourcing and preparing food, but it is also about sharing her love of healthy eating. Wendy believes the mind, body and soul is a sacred temple that thrives on a an abundance of nutritious, highly vibrational foods. Wendy feels that she is of service to all three elements of the human experience through her work.

Dishes you can expect to eat include:

  • Sweet Tempeh Chilli: Kind to your gut, fermented tempeh, black beans and peppers are cooked in cacao and spices, before being completed by a side of sweet potato and cashew sour cream.
  • ​Salad from the Sea: Nori, dulce, wakame and agar ager soaked in blue spirulina and lemon juice, with turmeric buckwheat and finally drizzled in a wasabi dressing. A salad as enlivening as the sea.
  • ​Plantbased Paella: Earthy artichoke hearts and mushrooms accompanied by many more local vegetables mixed with a saffron infused paella rice to fill your stomachs and hearts with the warmth of the Balearic islands.

​Pricing and accommodation

For your stay, you have the choice of staying in our spacious villa or a cabin located within our vibrant, green gardens.

If you are seeking a closer connection to nature our cabins are ideal. Here you will wake to the sounds of birds and sleep to the distant sound of the sea. Alternatively, if you are seeking a more conventional place to sleep, the rooms in our villa are ideal.
