Your Yoga School

At the Body-Mind-Soul Centre, a registered yin yoga teacher training Yoga Alliance school, we are honored to collaborate with teachers from a wonderfully diverse and experienced background.

The ethos of the Body-Mind-Soul Centre is to apply the teachings and practices of the yoga tradition to go on an exploration to investigate the relationship of our body, mind, and soul. Ultimately to gain clarity, understand our nature, create harmony between us and others, and experience freedom and joy.

In a Taoist / Zen way, we emphasize the value of breath, meditation, and intuition rather than ritual worship or rigorous following of old scriptures and perfect alignments. Everybody is different, so how a pose feels precedes how it is supposed to look.

At the Yin Yoga Teacher Training Yoga Alliance school, we see teaching yoga as an art fuelled by authenticity and creativity. A student’s personal practice and the understanding that follows subsequently spark the inner teacher and sharing with others will come naturally and spontaneously.

The Body-Mind-Soul Centre, Yin Yoga Teacher Training Yoga Alliance school acknowledges and emphasizes that every student and teacher has his or her own unique presence, energy, and teaching style. The Body-Mind-Soul Centre provides an ideal environment for learning and as a practice process, where yoga teacher training courses are presented and practiced in depth.

Head Teacher

Alexandra Denkinger M.D.(Acu)
Founder of The Body-Mind-Soul Centre (RYS), Yin Yoga Teacher Training Yoga Alliance school, and creator of Yin Yoga Therapy™ is an inspired Body-Mind-Soul Bio-Hacker, dedicated to helping people empower themselves to live the most authentic, healthy life possible.

As an all-time seeker on a soul-searching journey, she traveled the globe and came in touch with many different healing systems and yoga styles. Eventually, she moved from Germany to India to immerse herself in Ayurveda and Yoga nearly two decades ago.

Alexandra hosts Nature Adventure Retreats, where she loves to take a group of people to outstanding locations and/ or to engage in nature activities like Trekking in Ladakh, Surfing in Sri Lanka, Bouldering in Hampi, or Stand Up Paddle Board Excursions & SUP Yoga in Goa. Besides these active, fun-loving events her main passion is the immersion in Yin Yoga Therapy Trainings, Mindfulness Practices, and Healing & Transformation Retreats and Workshops.

In her Yin Yoga teachings, she integrates the ancient wisdom of Acupuncture Meridians and Chi flow in meditative yoga practice. In a Daoist/ Zen way, the focus is on the value of breath, insight & intuition – supporting a lifestyle that feels in alignment with our deepest self.

Alexandra lives in Mandrem, Goa, where she offers counseling sessions and a variety of holistic treatments. Here she looks at the patient’s whole system, environmental, emotional, and physical. She breaks down complex theories from different healing systems into digestible chunks for use in our daily life and offers practical information and encouragement to feel healthy, vital, joyful, and free.

Alexandra about herself:

”I like to see myself as a Body-Mind-Soul Bio-hacker. I counsel people and I help to heal their wounds. Physical, but mostly emotional. I did not intend to do this. When it came to me though, I knew it is my calling. I am passionate about it.

For me healing ourselves is our responsibility and an expression of environmental activism. We are healing the world by healing ourselves. And healing is actually very simple, it is an uttermost natural thing. Of course not everything can be healed, but most things thought incurable can be. Every organism has a basic instinct to be healed.

Energy flows where attention goes. I believe the good life is a matter of mind and soul and open to everyone. The body never lies. I listen, look and reflect to help you to activate your own healing abilities.

My goal is to empower you to live the most authentic, healthy life possible. A life that feels in alignment with your deepest self. Nothing brings me more joy than watching this happen.

I live and work with dedication, extraordinary intention and the spirit of liberation from convention”.

Yin Yoga Therapy
Yin Yoga waves all layers of our being -body, energy, and mind- into a seamless whole, allowing a sublime experience of stillness and peace.

The stillness of the long-held static stretches with relaxed muscles in Yin Yoga allows the space for mindful awareness and the opportunity to reveal and release deep layers of physical or emotional tension held within your fascia. The healing wisdom of the Daoist philosophy and the Meridians provides insight and guidance.

In this yin yoga teacher 200 hr certification course, you get a unique opportunity to learn to release physical and emotional tension, free stagnant or blocked energy and cultivate a peaceful quality of mind. By practising Yin we are practising acceptance and surrender, connecting our body to a Zen state of mind and we create the space to allow energetic and physical healing to take place.

3 Weeks Immersion in Bali
In the in-person immersion part of this yoga teacher 200 hr certification training, we will guide you through a journey through all the Daoist elements and their healing wisdom. There is no specific prerequisite required but an open mind and commitment and dedication to your personal development.

You will learn all about the ancient healing wisdom of the main Acupuncture Meridians and Chi flow in the body:

We will give you a deep insight into each Daoist element and the correlating acupuncture meridians and organs. Find out more about their subconscious value and the applied body acupressure points and Yin Yoga poses to help balance those energies and stimulate a free chi flow.

In detail, we explore each body’s target area and its correlation with the meridians and facial pathways. We explain to you ways to emotional healing and the release of energetic blockages in the poses. As we put our bodies in certain positions different meridian energy streams get stimulated and we activate our body’s own healing powers.

You will get to know more about additional tools and different meditation techniques to support this process in your yin yoga teacher 200 hr certification course.

We offer you insight into the power of visualization and breath, Yoga Nidra, Mantras and Mudras. There will be different meditations, acupuncture healing sessions, and chanting circles. In our Circles of Transformation, we create a safe space to connect and share. Together we open the gates to a long-lasting transformation.

+ 40 hours Self-Paced Online Course
To complete a solid foundation for your yoga teacher 200 hr certification and a deep understanding of yoga in all its variations we offer you an additional 40-hour self-paced online video course. Of these 40 hours 20 hours are dedicated to anatomy and physiology, and 20 hours will focus on general yoga humanities.

In the Yoga Humanities 20 Hours Online Course we share details about general yoga history, philosophy and foundations like the eight limbs and Patanjali’s yoga sutras, Bhagavad Gita, Upanishads and the Hatha Yoga Pradipika. You will get to know about the Chakras, Koshas, Prana Vaayus, Kleshas and more.

Both these video courses you can start anytime after the complete sign-up and you will have one year time to go through the material at your own pace. Our team is always available for active support throughout this process.
