Do you want your spark back, to reclaim your health, and your zest for life? Then let us spoil you; in the beautiful mountains of Andalusia, with an amazing women’s health and wellbeing retreat.

With lots of treatments, exercise, delicious healthy food and educational workshops, you will feel invigorated and refreshed.

Jackie and Alison have combined their decades of expertise together in the clinical health and fitness industry, to bring women together, within a safe environment offering support and friendship, in order to regain your true strength and passion.

For 4 nights, you will be your discover your own true needs and desires to help you towards a healthier lifestyle.

This retreat will give you the opportunity to find ‘you’ again. You will be able to go home with all the skills in place to continue and maintain a healthy and happy life.

The venue is based in the middle of the Sierra Almijara National Park. The nearest town is Competa which is 10-15mins drive. The location is stunning for a retreat and has numerous hiking routes. You can also hike to both Competa, El Acebuchal and other local site.

This retreat is full of activities but does give you a little time to relax and enjoy both the villa facilities and surrounds, as well as make new friends.

Although the venue can sleep 18 people, we are looking for a maximum of 10 people to enjoy our retreat.

Activities / classes

  • Daily Pilates classes; daily Yoga Classes; daily exercise classes
  • Mindfulness and meditations
  • Daily Workshops on exercise, nutrition and supplementation, aromatherapy
  • Treatments to include aromatherapy massage, refloxology, acupuncture and cranial sacral therapy sessions
  • Hiking, biking, horse riding (organised by external companies at an additional cost).

Teachers / instructors

Alison Salmond.
Alison is both a Pilates Teacher Trainer and a qualified osteopath / Cranial Sacral Therapist. She has been in the health and fitness industry for 40 years with the last 24 years dedicated to teaching Pilates.

She is an internationally recognised teacher and runs regular teacher training for Pilates teachers both from her home in Spain and the UK.

After an Ovarian Cancer diagnosis in April 2022, she has focussed more on how to maintain good health and good healthy practices through nutrition and exercise. She wants to provide, women of all ages, with the tools to to take control of their own health.

Jackie Fairweather.
Jackie originally came from the health and fitness industry, but after a car accident approximately 30 years ago, she retrained as an acupuncturist.

She has studied Five Element Acupucture and Traditional Chinese Acupuncture. In recent years, after an enforced medical menopause, she studied the effects of menopause and how these can be alleviated by acupuncture, nutrition and supplementation.

Jackie is very passionate about all women’s health; starting from the fertility years and helping those to women who are wanting to become pregnant through to post menopause. Her main emphasis is to treat the whole body and to find balance within our hormones, promoting a better quality of life.

She believes in test-based nutrition to find out what is potentially missing in our diet and how this can be changed by nutrition or short term supplementation (if necessary). The key to her treatment plans is to individualise every plan for every woman.

Schedule / Typical day

Our Retreat days will start at approximately 8.30/9am with a pilates/yoga session. There will be a brunch served at approximately 11/11.30am

Post brunch at approximately 12.30, there will be a workshop for approximately 90 mins.
2-5pm Planned treatments, swimming, hiking, relaxing
5pm Exercise Session / 30 mins
6pm Yoga/Pilates/Mindfulness
7.30pm Dinner
9pm – Free time
First day (10th September) starts approximately at 3pm in resort for introduction meeting,
Last Day (14th September) finishes at 12pm

Food / Cuisine

All diets are catered for. An external professional chef will create a nutritionally balanced brunch and dinner including protein (plant based / meat). Snacks/Teas available
