I recently set up a Meetup group which I specifically created for those who run a holistic or wellbeing business – for example yoga centres, raw food cafes, retreat companies or heart centred businesses and individuals such as yoga teachers, therapists, coaches, nutritionists etc that need support with the ‘how to’s’ of social media in order to raise their profile online, engage with their audience and grow their businesses.
The first one specifically concentrated on Facebook how to’s where I shared 7 insights on Facebook:
1. What type of content is share worthy.
2. The best way to publish and share your blog posts on Facebook.
3. How to drive traffic to your blog and website using effective call to actions.
4. How to increase your fan base both organically and using the promote page feature.
5. How to schedule and automate your content.
6. Understanding new Facebook insights and analytic tools.
7. How to create an exciting and engaging campaign.

Social Media Week comes to London town this September which i’m incredibly excited about and i’ve signed up for lots of events and by chance received an email entitling me to a free VIP pass due to some error in their registration system! Every year there’s a theme and the theme for this year is Open & Connected reflecting on the global impact of social media and its role as a catalyst in driving cultural, political, economic and social change. Next year i’m definitely going to attend their event in New York!

Post social media week I am running a half day ‘Introduction To Social Media workshop for Holistic and Wellbeing businesses’ on Saturday 28th September. This is aimed at those who know the ‘basics’ of social media but wish to take it up a level & understand the value of using it in business.
