Teacher
This retreat is suitable for all levels.
Yoga Manager & Instructor: Richard Dunne
Richard took his first yoga class in India back in 2005 and was immediately amazed by the mental clarity, body-awareness and increase in flexibility that he felt after only a few days of practice. He found that any day that started with yoga was infinitely more productive and rewarding than a day without, and that has been the case ever since.
He kept up his practice when he returned to Ireland and was fortunate enough to return to India to complete his first 200hrs of teacher training in 2015, after which Richard began to teach sporadically.
He decided to commit to yoga full-time and two years later he returned to Asia where I have been ever since, volunteering in ashrams, taking his next 300hrs of teacher training and working at various studios, resorts and retreats in SE Asia. The more he learns about yoga the more he realises there is to know. Richard looks forward to continuing his journey as a student and sharing his knowledge and experience with others.
Yoga Instructor: Manuela Kind
When Yoga found Manuela 8+ years ago, she was hooked immediately. Being a dancer since the age of 13, her body enjoyed the movements a lot. Later on, when Manuela was living a high-paced lifestyle working full-time in a design agency, she needed the stillness that Yoga and Meditation gave her.
The philosophy behind it was something that fascinated her since she was a teenager: When she became ill, it helped Manuela in answering her question. After practicing Yoga for years, she realized that this practice gave her much more than she ever imagined. It gave her inner balance. It was Yoga that made Manuela pick herself back up when she was ill. And it was Yoga that helped her grow, thrive and live her life today in a way that makes her happy.
Yoga for Manuela is very much about connecting body and mind, and living a healthy and sustainable lifestyle. Her approach in teaching reflects that – She invites and encourages her students to reconnect with their true self, developing self-awareness, letting go of distractions and drama, by simply being present in the moment. Manuela strongly believes that Yoga not only happens on the mat – it happens in our everyday life, in the choices we make, in how we express ourselves and interact in this world, in the way we treat others and ourselves.
Cuisine
Niam Niam Restaurant & Bar is housed in an open-air thatched roof restaurant surrounded by the serenity of the tropical gardens and swimming pools. A strong emphasis is placed on sustainable food, using locally grown produce for an exceptional farm-to-table experience.
The day begins with an a la carte breakfast including a baker’s tray of fruit and freshly baked pastries and a daily rotating choice of Western or Asian hot dishes. The lunch and dinner menus incorporate Asian and Western flavours and as a wellness resort, there is also a strong focus on healthy cuisine with a specially crafted wellness menu of fresh salads, vegetarian dishes and an extensive detox juice menu.
Accommodation
28 rooms are dotted throughout the property, decorated with tribal art and textiles unique to Southeast Asia and each room boasts its own secluded garden.
This package is based on an Explorer Room. There are 18 rooms accommodated in three pavilions, which are contemporary and eco-chic in design. Each Explorer room is enclosed by a private garden. The view from each room is either the lush, well-manicured garden or the inviting lagoon styled swimming pool.
At 45 sq. each, Explorer Rooms are more than adequately sized. Each comes with its own furnished veranda, a sitting area and a sizable bathroom equipped with his and hers vanities, his and hers showers and adequate closet space.
The mix of wooden, sandstone and pebble wash floors carries that resort theme within the room.
Hand-carved art made by the tribes in the Cambodia-Laos border lends it a distinctive cultural touch. Each Explorer Room may come with either a king or twin beds.

What past guests have said
“I am so pleased that I decided upon Navutu Dreams as the climax to my three week trip to Vietnam and Cambodia. As I made my way from Siem Reap airport in a tuk tuk, blasted with 36 degree heat, little did I anticipate the oasis that awaited me. ND is an oasis, and nothing less, a retreat from the hustle and bustle of downtown Siem Reap, and situated off the tourist track. With three pools, nestled in the most beautiful gardens you are spoilt for choice. ND pulls off the near impossible in hotels – you feel as if you are the only guest there.
Rooms are self contained bungalows, complete with an outside garden terrace, an internal sofa area just inside the door, a separate sleeping area, and the most generously sized bathroom I encountered on my trip. The evening and morning yoga lessons where given by very high quality teachers, and the yoga studio is well equipped.
I enjoyed my evening meals in the restaurant as I didn’t fancy hitting town on my own and the cooking was excellent. You get your own tuk tuk driver as complementary. Mine spoke great English and took my pre sunrise departure for Angkor Wat at 4.30am in his stride. The hotel prepared me a fantastic breakfast hamper that saw me through six hours of early temple viewing. If you are looking for near paradise, the Navutu Dreams is where you need to lay your hat.”
“Everything from the beginning to end of my trip here was excellent. From my airport pick up to arrival to my departure. Travelling solo, I wasn’t too sure how best to see Siem Reap, however Navutu Dreams was the perfect blend of wellness and exploration. I arrived Monday and left Saturday. I took advantage of one of the retreat packages which gave me group yoga sessions as well as a private session, holistic treatments, spa treatments and wellness meals.
All of these were amazing. The resort offers 2 group yoga sessions each day. This is the perfect amount as it allows you to either relax by the pool or take advantage of the other things they have to offer. I loved the village tours as it gave me an insight to the local community I wouldn’t have been able to get otherwise! The spa is absolutely amazing as well. The restaurant food is delicious with an excellent wellness menu, while also offering less healthy options when you are craving french fries!
Thank-you to all the Navutu staff for such an amazing experience :)”
“This was my first solo trip and Navutu was the perfect introduction to Cambodia and wellness holidays. The staff were always so helpful. When I arrived I was introduced to Ritchie who spoke through a plan for the five days, emphasising that things could be moved if needed. The rooms are just as they appear on the internet, well decorated and spacious.
The food is amazing! Could not fault and it was so good I tried things I wouldn’t normally try. The cooking class was great fun, I will definitely be trying the recipes at home. The staff are all so helpful, friendly and fun! The yoga was great for people of all standards, I would consider myself as someone that has done quite a few yoga classes but not overly consistent with it. The spa is lovely and calming. Overall a fantastic stay.”
