About The Retreat

Romantic treehouse for two in the beautiful Brecon Beacons with private wood fired hot tub

Deep in the heart of the Brecon Beacons, one of the most popular hiking destinations in Europe, you’ll find Trewalter Treehouse, a luxurious gem set against a rugged and dramatic natural backdrop.

This stunning structure is perfect for a romantic getaway, comfortably housing a couple in a sumptuous treehouse. Set in four acres of lush Neolithic landscape, on the land of the historic Trewalter House, this cedar snuggery is nestled alongside ancient woodland, hovering above the Llynfi river below.

This is more like a palace in the Welsh pines, with full facilities such as electricity, WiFi, a Smart TV, a fitted kitchen with dishwasher, a handcrafted acacia double bed with a cashmere mattress and the finest Egyptian cotton bed linen. The fantastic wood-fired hot tub is set under the trees.

A second raised terrace is accessed by its own swing bridge – this is chic juvenescence. This beautiful treehouse is dotted with exquisite details, but none quite so impressive as the craftsmanship of this structure. The elegant ceiling serves as both the sturdy spine and artful centrepiece reminiscent of a golden Fibonacci spiral.

The owners have thought of absolutely everything, including how to delicately sit their high-end treehouse against the backdrop of the mighty Pen y Fan, the highest peak in South Wales. Everything about this space is wonderful, from the structure itself to the surrounding hills and vales.

You’ll even spot the owners’ pet pheasants taking in the views across the lawns from time to time! This is a place to relax and be in the moment, whilst being at one with nature. We believe that once you’ve experienced the fresh air, the evenings sat on the deck watching the red kites swooping overhead, and the resplendent, restful night’s sleep, you won’t want to leave.
