Join us for our 3 night weekend hiking and yoga retreat in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales from Friday to Monday. Stay in a beautiful venue in the middle of a valley and enjoy spectacular views, guided hikes and yoga twice a day. In between activities, relax in the hot tub and star gaze whilst staying cosy around the fire pit. You will leave this weekend feeling truly reset and ready for you week ahead.

A beautiful retreat venue in the stunning landscape of Swaledale in the Yorkshire Dales for our 3-night weekend hiking yoga retreat in Yorkshire. Stay in a beautifully finished country farmhouse with a separate yoga barn, or when warm, enjoy the outdoor yoga platform with panoramic views.

This is your retreat, so you can do as you need. On our three-night hiking yoga holiday in Yorkshire, you are immersed in nature at this location with expansive views. You can feel a connection to nature just by being still and present while staying here. Enjoy hikes each day from the house, and on your return, enjoy a hot tub with amazing views or a massage. If you are a cold water dipper, there is a river for cold water dips at the bottom of the garden.

Our venue in the north Yorkshire Dales is modern yet traditional, the owners have imprinted their style with comfy beds, quirky artwork, good quality linen and towels, cushions and throws, it is a home from home and you will feel relaxed as soon as you enter the building. This venue is also special because the family that owns it are regenerative farmers and care deeply for the environment, so they have green practices to help sustain nature in its most natural form in the surrounding area to attract flourishing wildlife to the area.

About The Yoga

On our Yorkshire yoga retreat, the classes are suitable for all abilities from beginners to intermediate. Everyone is welcome! Our inspiring and experienced teachers are well-practised at adapting the class to everyone’s level.

The yoga teacher will create a more dynamic class in the morning to get you ready for the day’s hike and the evening class will enable deep relaxation with more restorative styles, meditation and Yoga Nidra.

Harriet King

Raised in the UK, Harriet started her yoga journey young, taking classes in Leeds, however, her dedicated practice began when she moved to London. Feeling overwhelmed with her new life, yoga gave her calm and space. After struggling with her mental health, she decided to leave London and found herself living in the Middle East in search of more balance.

Harriet completed her 200-hour YTT in Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga in Qatar and has since gone on to teach and study in Bali, UK, India and Sri Lanka. Harriet teaches a variety of styles including, yin, restorative, vinyasa, ashtanga and kids yoga, but her self-practice is dedicated to Slow Flows and her teaching reflects this – moving with mindful purpose, compassion and intention. Harriet’s classes are a gentle blend of meditation, breathwork and purposeful movement that cultivate a strong mind-body connection and leave you feeling calm and peaceful.

As a yoga teacher with a Master in Psychology Harriet uses her knowledge to equip you with a mental health toolbox that can be used to look after your physical and mental wellbeing, beyond your days on our retreats. By combining Eastern philosophy with Western psychology, Harriet uses meditation, mindfulness, yoga, movement and more to help you slow down when your world feels chaotic & to remember that you have the power within yourself to lead a life you love.

On our January hiking yoga retreat in Yorkshire, feel free to arrive from 5 pm on the first day to allow time to settle in before the first yoga class and dinner.

The retreat will end at 9:30 am on the final day after a shorter yoga class and brunch.

All of our retreat chefs are highly experienced and passionate about their craft. We have always been a vegan/vegetarian company!

Expect delicious and creative brunch, lunch, and 2-course evening meal. Each meal will be balanced to keep you energised all day.

Location and how to get there

By car

The nearest town to the retreat is Richmond which is about a 5-hour drive from London.

By Train

National Rail will release train ticket availability around three months before travel.

The nearest station is Darlington. It’s about 20 miles from the retreat with a taxi journey time of 40 minutes. The journey from London by train is about 2.5 hours and from Edinburgh about 2 hours.

You will be allowed into the venue from 5 pm, so please aim to arrive in Darlington at 4:20 pm.

Shortly before the retreat starts we will set up a Whatsapp group, which will allow you to organise shared transfers to and from the venue with fellow yogis.
