About The Retreat

Dates: 13 – 16 September / 16 – 19 September

Join us for a 3 night weekend or 4 night mid-week yoga and hiking retreat in the Peak District. A perfect short stay adventure, great for nature-loving yogis that want a more modern, luxurious feel.

Stay in a stunning converted cattle shed in the heart of the countryside and enjoy two guided hikes and yoga twice a day. There is an outdoor fire pit so you can stay cosy whilst stargazing.

Our modern home has all the cosy comforts you could ever need. Plush sofas, warming fires and views from every window, of which there are a lot of! An abundance of seating areas both inside and outside means you will have plenty of space. Perfect to curl up with a book or chat with your new retreat friends.

Our days on this Peak District yoga and hiking retreat will be filled but relaxing. With hikes directly from the house, delicious plant-based meals, and yoga to nourish both body and soul.

There are plenty of hikes to enjoy in the Peak District. Mam Tor, also known as the “Shivering Mountain,” stands tall and is one of the most iconic peaks in the Peak District. If you would like to find out more about other hikes please let us know.

Accommodation

Your modern home has all the cosy comforts you could ever need: plush sofas, outdoor seating, a large outdoor decking that wraps around the building overlooking an expansive valley view down to the river below, and a firepit to star and moon gaze from in the Peak District night sky.

The outdoor seating areas are perfect for curling up with a book, relaxing in the sun on the terrace, or chatting with your new retreat friends. In the colder months, the underfloor heating keeps you cosy, and the wood burner is perfect for relaxing at the end of the day after a day filled with activities.

There are 13 luxury ensuite bedrooms in the main house with a choice of standard and superior suites which are freshly decorated in a traditional/contemporary style. Each room has a bath or walk in shower and crisp linen. The public rooms of the house are there for you to relax in.

Yoga

On our summer Peak District retreat, the classes are suitable for all abilities. From beginners to intermediate and advanced levels. Everyone is welcome. Our inspiring and experienced teachers are well-practised at adapting the class to everyone’s level.

There will be two staggered yoga classes for each yoga session scheduled to accommodate the group in order to follow the guidelines of social distancing. The yoga teacher will create a more dynamic class in the morning to get you ready for the day’s hike and the evening class will be slightly longer to enable deep relaxation with yoga Nidra.

About the teacher

Nikki Timney

Nikki has a strong passion for movement and mindfulness. Teaching yoga since 2019, her classes are centred around encouraging people to develop strength and space in their bodies through their yoga practice.
