About The Retreat
Palmaïa – The House of AïA, with 234 vegan-friendly ocean-front suites, is a unique environmentally conscious progressive wellness resort concept, offering plant-based restaurants, over a mile of secluded white sand beach, a variety of wellness activies, meditation, thai chi and yoga classes and daily “Rituals of Sound” performances, all included in the suite rates and with a minimal carbon footprint.
Strategically situated at the tail end of the most beautiful beach in the Riviera Maya, The House of AïA brings us Palmaïa, an exclusive beach enclave focused on connecting us to nature, ourselves, and the sanctity of life.
Every effort was taken to ensure the original landscape remain untouched to feel the healing authenticity of old-growth trees andnaturally occurring, cool-water cenotes.
All guests reside in ocean-front suites: some with swim-out access to the infinity pools, others with sweeping views of the sea, and a few nestled among the ocean-side mangroves.
Guests also enjoy high-end amenities without sacrificing evironmentally friendly practices, while the restaurants offer the best cuisine in the region, extensive plant-based options, and impeccable style.
Rooms
All of Palmaïa’s 234 Oceanfront Suites are cruelty-free, as they have been assiduously planned as free of animal products and animal-tested products, offering an enlightened space that celebrates the value of all life on Earth with zero use of leather and feather-free bedding.
8 different layouts provide the perfect fit for everyone, featuring private terraces on all levels and a combination of spaces designed to fit families and couples’ needs.
Choose between King or Queen beds, second bedrooms with bunk beds for children, or sofa beds, luxury tubs, or showers.
In the vegan suites all furniture is non-leather, toiletries are cruelty-free and the mini bar includes kombucha and coconut water.
You have the option of booking a room on one of the top floors with a sea view, or a swim-up room on the ground floor, which opens directly onto the pool.
Cuisine
The food is all inclusive with a vegan and plant based a la carte menu, and the option to add non-vegan toppings.
When our chefs prepare their ingredients in the early morning hours, placing them on the ledge of the window to receive the first light of day, it matters. Because, love is what brings the best of us to bear: for our craft, for a sustainable present, for a healthier future.
Plant-based Travel Made Easy
The House of AïA is the first resort of its kind to prepare all of its menus with full, plant-based ingredients, while still offering exquisite, non-vegan options.
Our founder’s vegan sensibilities merge with our Executive Chef’s inspired guidance to unveil daily menus that are as exquisitely delicious as they are fresh and thoughtfully prepared.
Traveling while eating plant-based has never been better. Here are just a few of our favorite dishes:
(•) soy-marinated, watermelon poke bowl
(•) smoked-carrot toast
(•) Palmaïa burger with sweet potato fries
(•) pb-cheese and mushroom quesadillas
Not everyone can be vegan and we respect that. We show our guests how delicious plant-based food can be. That way, meat and fish eaters are exposed to a new type of culinary experience, balancing their diets and exploring flavors they didn’t expect, or even know were possible.
We create a level of cuisine that is hard to match, especially at an all-inclusive resort, because it plays against the paradigm that food is qualified by its price. By doing it our way, guests can let go, be pampered, and not think about cost—as true luxury is.
