New Year Yoga and Hiking Retreat in the Brecon Beacons, Wales | 29th December – 2nd January

About The Retreat

New Year is a beautiful time to be in the Brecon Beacons and to join us on our hiking and new year yoga retreat. Stay in comfort, hike with qualified guides, unwind with yoga and enjoy delicious vegan/veggie food.

This December, join us for a 4 night new year yoga retreat in the Welsh countryside and enjoy the chance to get away from it all and see the new year in a bit differently,  relax, enjoy walks in the stunning Brecon Beacons National Park and curl up in front of the fire with a good book.

As it is the new year, we share a setting intentions workshop, to get clear on goals for 2025 and what you want to let go of from 2024 so that you start the new year with positivity and focus. With a New years eve feast and ceremony, January 1st will never feel so good.

Stay in a family-owned multi-property estate that dates back to 1176, it was originally a farm serving the local monastery. Since then, it has had stunning renovations to create a beautiful retreat space.

Why not stay in one of the main barns? Or maybe, try out a quirky converted wheat silo, perfect for two people. Either way, you will enjoy lots of space and room options.

Of course, get your hiking boots ready to enjoy 2 half-day guided hikes with qualified guides on two of the three full days of the retreat.

With up to 3.5 hours of yoga a day, delicious vegan/veggie food from one of our fabulous chefs and gorgeous accommodation you will feel cared for throughout.

Accommodation

Located close to the literacy town of Hay-On-Wye, the property was once part of the farm serving a Cistercian monastery founded in 1176. Steeped in history the individual barns and buildings have been lovingly restored and updated to create a stunning home from home space.

Beautiful gardens create a multitude of private oases to relax in spread across the 4 individual buildings, each with their very own unique style and character, that we inhabit during our stay.

We have a choice of 6 single rooms with double beds and an ensuite bathroom, 3 single rooms with double beds with shared bathroom with 1 other room, a twin room with its own bathroom and a twin room with a shared bathroom with one other room. The Wheat Silo is a quirky accommodation for two people sharing a double bed and it has its own kitchen, bathroom and living space and stunning views of the Brecon Beacons.

The yoga studio is a beautiful, long barn conversion full of natural light and double doors that open up into the inner courtyard and the valleys beyond.

Cuisine

All of our retreat chefs are highly experienced and passionate about their craft. We have always been a vegan/vegetarian company! Expect delicious and creative brunch, lunch, and 2-course evening meal. Each meal will be balanced to keep you energised all day.

Our chef is Charlotte Hopson. Charlotte’s motivation is to share her passion for seasonal, plant-based ingredients and encourages guests to use their time on retreat to reconnect with their relationship to food.
