About The Retreat

Join us in beautiful North Yorkshire for a 2 night adventure camp. From our base in Guisborough, we will explore the North York Moors & surrounding area.
Each day will be filled with fun and adventure, as Emma & Katie guide you on exciting off-road bike rides. The rides will be between 2 and 5 hours in length and will be a mixture of tracks, moorland and woodland. Lots of easily rideable sections as well as some more technical challenging parts! A reasonable level of fitness is required.
This camp is perfect for intermediate cyclists as well as those still quite new to off road riding who want to gain confidence and experience, in a relaxed and friendly group.

Teachers / instructors

The retreat is hosted by Emma and Katie – Level two British Triathlon Coaches with a passion for mountain biking! Both are also first aid qualified.

Schedule / Typical day

A typical day on this retreat with begin with a healthy and hearty breakfast in your luxury accommodation.
The group will embark on a guided mountain bike ride in the beautiful surrounding countryside. Before we depart, you will have the opportunity to purchase a picnic pack-up to bring with you, from one of the many shops and artisan deli’s on the hight street, or the ride will have a cafe strop scheduled for lunch.
On returning to the accommodation you will have time to rest and relax before dinner.
Your evening meal and the option of a glass of wine or two will be enjoyed around the table with the other ladies on the retreat. The meals are delicious and healthy. Vegan, vegetarian and special dietary requirements can be catered for.

Food / Cuisine

Breakfast consists of fruit salad, yogurt, pastries, toast, home made granola and other cereals and eggs.
The evening meals on the retreat are predominately vegetarian and all dietary requirements can be catered for. There will be two courses, accompanied with wine.
The menus are taken from cookery books such as ‘Deliciously Ella’ and ‘Bish Bash Bosh’ meaning we guarantee a colourful plate of healthy and nutritious food every time you sit down at the table!

Location and how to get there

The accommodation is in the centre of Guisborough, a market town in North Yorkshire. Easily accessible by road. Parking is available for a small daily charge.

A car is not necessary as we can offer transportation when needed during the retreat. The nearest train station is at Saltburn-by-the Sea. We can usually make arrangements to collect you from there, please let us know if this is required.

The closest large bus station (National Express etc) is in Middlesborough and there are regular buses from Middlesborough to Guisborough (35 minute journey time)Price (state currency)

Booking

If you have any questions or require further information before you book, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

The balance is due 8 weeks prior to the retreat and you will receive a reminder. Once the balance is due and a reminder has been sent, you have 7 days to make this payment. Once the balance has been paid it is non-refundable. It is a condition of the trip that you are covered by a medical and personal accident insurance policy that includes cover for sports activities.

It is advisable to also check the policy covers you for cancellation, for example if you are unable to join us on the camp due to illness. Please inform us of any health conditions that may affect your ability to participate in any activities on the camp.

If the trip is not able to go ahead in 2025 due to reasons outside of our control, We would move the trip forward by one year to the same dates or as close as possible. If you have already paid the full balance at the time that the trip had to be cancelled, we will return the balance to you. The non-refundable deposit will secure your space on the camp in 2026. Please bear in mind that the initial deposit is non-refundable if you decide to cancel.
