Join us in the spring, summer or autumn for our 3 night hiking and yoga holiday in the Lake District.
With majestic mountains to climb, breathtaking views, and beautiful lakes to enjoy a cold water dip, this stunning landscape is a place to immerse yourself and feel connected to nature.
With our qualified and very experienced mountain guides on hand to lead the day hike, and your yoga teachers to lead a more gentle yet equally as stunning walk to Tarn Howes directly from our retreat centre, immerse yourself in nature and feel the benefits of this, being away from the frenetic and urban landscape of your day to day living. Take a packed lunch and just sit and watch the world go by, or enjoy a bit of forest bathing and meditation.
The chef is local to the area and set up the first-ever vegetarian restaurant in Ambleside, so from indulgent cuisine to rejuvenating wellness activities, we make sure this Lake District hiking and yoga retreat has something for everyone.
After a day’s excursions, unwind with evening yin and restorative yoga and yoga Nidra, followed by a delicious vegan and vegetarian evening meal. Whilst out in the vast expanse of natural beauty, take a moment to breathe, meditate, and absorb the serenity.
Suitable for those who love more dramatic countryside experience, love hiking or being active. If you have never been hiking before that’s ok, but just bring suitable clothing and your hiking boots.

Yoga
Our classes for our yoga retreat in the Lake District are really special, with natural light coming into the purpose-built, high ceiling yoga shala overlooking the mountains.
It’s glass-fronted with spectacular views, wooden floors and lots of room to stretch out as well as a wood burner to keep warm in the colder months. It’s a truly inspiring space to practice yoga.
There will be two staggered yoga classes for each yoga session scheduled to accommodate the group in order to follow the guidelines of social distancing. The yoga teacher will create a more dynamic class in the morning to get you ready for the days hike and the evening class will be slightly longer to enable deep relaxation with yoga nidra.
Yoga Teachers
May: April Davis
April’s journey with yoga, philosophy, and astrology began over twelve years ago, when she first stepped onto the mat and discovered a way to move her body with fluidity. From that moment, she felt a deep connection to her authentic self, and the journey began. As a surfer with a great love for the ocean, and a soul drawn to the trees and mountains, April finds solace in nature whenever she can. In the warmth of summer, you can often find her by the coast, immersed in the water, or setting off on spontaneous adventures in her van.
Having taught yoga for several years, April brings a compassionate, somatic approach to her practice. April’s initial 200hr Hatha Yoga teaching training was a beautiful life-changing experience, which led to further training within embodied yin, restorative yoga and vinyasa flow, her guidance encourages students to feel into their own bodies and explore their unique authenticity. Ever the student herself, April is currently deepening her knowledge through sound and somatic movement practices, weaving new insights into her teachings.
Beyond her hatha, hot yoga flow, yin, and restorative weekly yoga classes, and her work on retreats around the world, April is studying to become a psychotherapist, with a masters in Psychology of Mental Health and Wellbeing. Her vision is to merge her expertise in somatic yoga, intuitive movement, astrology, and sound with creative psychotherapeutic modalities, creating a space where she can serve as an integrative holistic therapist.
