With a background in Speech Pathology and Audiology, specializing in Applied Behavior Analysis and Sensory Integration Therapy, Kaliope has a profound understanding of the mind-body connection. This expertise, combined with years of yoga and meditation teaching, allows for a holistic approach to wellness that fosters growth, self-discovery, and resilience.

As a trauma-informed yoga teacher, Kaliope creates a safe and nurturing environment where participants can reconnect with themselves and explore their personal path to wellness. Schedule / Typical day

Daily Schedule

8:00 AM – Morning Yoga & Breathwork/Meditation
Begin the day with an invigorating yoga session paired with calming breathwork and meditation, awakening the body and centering the mind.

9:15 AM – Breakfast *package inclusion*
Enjoy a delicious and nourishing breakfast, crafted with fresh, locally sourced ingredients, shared together as a community.

10:30 AM – Free Time / Excursions
Use this time to explore Amorgos, relax by the pool, explore the Island of Amorgos, spend the day at the beach or Spa, journal, or participate in planned activities. On certain days, this block may include:

Yacht Excursion: Spend the day sailing the Aegean, snorkeling, and discovering hidden coves.
Cooking Class: Learn to prepare authentic Greek dishes with locally grown produce, followed by a shared meal.

4:00 PM – Workshop / Group Session (Optional or alternating days)
Participate in trauma-informed workshops, group discussions, or creative activities that foster self-discovery and connection.

8:15 PM – Sunset Restorative Yoga & Yin Practice
End the day with a soothing restorative yoga session, blending Yin techniques to release tension and promote deep relaxation.

9:15 PM – Dinner *package inclusion*
Savor a communal dinner featuring vibrant, healthy dishes, celebrating the flavors of Greece and the joy of connection.

Location and how to get there

Amorgos is a hidden gem in the Cyclades, a stunning Greek island located in the heart of the Aegean Sea. Known for its breathtaking landscapes, crystal-clear waters, and tranquil atmosphere, Amorgos is the perfect place to unwind and reconnect with nature. Here’s how to get there:

1. By Air
The nearest airport to Amorgos is Santorini (Thira) International Airport (JTR), which is one of the busiest airports in the Greek islands. From Santorini, you can catch a ferry or a small domestic flight to Amorgos.

Santorini to Amorgos by Ferry: Ferries depart regularly from Athinios Port (Santorini’s main port) to Aegiali Port or Katapola Port on Amorgos. The journey typically takes around 1.5 to 2 hours.
Santorini to Amorgos by Plane: There are seasonal flights from Santorini to Amorgos, though ferry travel is the most common and scenic option.

2. By Ferry from Athens
Amorgos is also accessible by ferry from Piraeus Port (Athens), which is about a 4-5 hour journey. Ferries run daily, particularly during the tourist season (May to October), and offer a beautiful and relaxing way to arrive at the island.

Piraeus to Amorgos by Ferry: You can catch a direct ferry from Piraeus to either Aegiali or Katapola. The journey takes approximately 5 to 7 hours depending on the type of ferry.

3. Getting Around Amorgos
Once you arrive on Amorgos, we will provide transportation to the Hotel. While in Amorgos, there are local buses, taxis, and rental cars available for transportation. The island’s serene beauty is best explored at a leisurely pace, and many of the island’s most scenic spots are easily accessible by foot, making it the perfect setting for a peaceful retreat; our retreat location is a 15 minute walk to and from both the town’s center and the beach.

Not Included

To ensure clarity, here’s a list of items and expenses that are not included in the retreat package:

1. Airfare and Travel Tickets
– Flights or ferry tickets to and from Amorgos, Greece, are not included in the retreat price. Participants are responsible for arranging and covering the costs of their transportation to the island.

2. Lunch
– While breakfast and dinner are provided daily, lunch is not included in the retreat package. Guests are welcome to explore local dining options or enjoy light meals at their leisure.

3. Additional Transportation
– Transportation costs, other than group transfers provided for your arrival and departure on designated retreat days, are not included. Guests are responsible for covering transportation for personal excursions or other travel needs during the retreat.

4. Travel Insurance
– It is highly recommended that guests purchase their own travel insurance to cover cancellations, medical emergencies, and other unforeseen events.

5. Personal Expenses
– Any additional personal purchases, such as souvenirs, snacks, or additional spa treatments, are not part of the retreat package. However, you have full access to the sauna, hammam (Turkish bath), jacuzzi, indoor seawater swimming pool, fitness center.

How to Book

Aionia Retreats will be sure to guide you every step of the way before and during your travels. As a part of our package inclusions, we plan your trip from start to finish.

We are thrilled to welcome you to Blissful Balance Retreat! To ensure clarity and a smooth booking experience, please carefully read our terms and conditions for payment and sign-up. You may reach us at aioniaretreats@gmail.com with your first and last name as well as the number of people in your party.

1. Booking & Registration

• To secure your spot at Blissful Balance Retreat, a completed registration form and a deposit are required.
• Your registration is considered complete only when we receive your deposit and the signed agreement.
• Availability is subject to confirmation; early booking is recommended, as spaces are limited.

2. Payment Terms

• Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total retreat price is required at the time of booking to secure your place.
• Final Payment: The remaining balance is due February 1, 2025.
• Payment Methods: Payments can be made via Venmo, Zelle or PayPal.
• Currency: All payments are processed in USD ($). If you are paying in a different currency, your bank or payment provider may charge a conversion fee.
• Late Payments: If the final payment is not received by the due date, we reserve the right to cancel your booking and retain the deposit.

3. Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellation by the Guest:
•  All deposits are non-refundable unless Aionia, cancels the retreat. At that time, Aionia would issue a full refund.
•  If you cancel at any time before the retreat start date, no refund will be provided.
•  All cancellations must be submitted in writing so that we may include anyone on the waiting list.

Cancellation by Blissful Balance Retreat: In the unlikely event that we have to cancel the retreat due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., natural disasters, political instability, or force majeure events), you will receive a full refund of all payments made, excluding any non-refundable third-party charges (e.g., flights or insurance).

4. Health & Safety

• Health Requirements: By signing up for the retreat, you confirm that you are in good health and able to participate in the retreat’s activities. If you have any health concerns, medical conditions, or injuries, please inform us before the retreat.
• Insurance: We recommend that all guests obtain travel insurance that covers cancellation, medical emergencies, and lost luggage.
• Liability: While we take every care to ensure your safety, Blissful Balance Retreat and its facilitators are not responsible for any personal injury, loss, or damage that may occur during the retreat. You will be required to sign a release waiver upon arrival for the physical practice lead by Aionia Wellness Retreats.

5. Code of Conduct

• Respectful Behavior: We expect all participants to treat each other, the facilitators, and the retreat space with kindness, respect, and consideration.
• Privacy: Please respect the privacy and personal space of fellow guests.

6. Changes to the Program

• Program Modifications: Blissful Balance Retreat reserves the right to change the program schedule, yoga instructors, or activities in case of unforeseen circumstances. We will notify you promptly of any changes.
• Retreat Availability: Retreats are subject to a minimum number of participants. In the unlikely event that the minimum number is not met, we reserve the right to cancel the retreat, offering a full refund.

7. Agreement & Acceptance

• By completing the registration form and submitting the deposit, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
• This agreement is binding upon receipt of your payment and registration.
• ANY agreements will be sent along with payment and will be required to be signed before finalizing your reservation.
