Mindfulness with @connecting_mindfulness
Start the day the mindful way with a morning mantra to help little ones find stillness, confidence, and joy in the present moment. Beginning the day in a grumpy mood is so hard to shake isn’t it?! You feel it, your kids feel it, we all feel it! What if you woke up with your own mantra of peace, of love. Here is an example which you can say softly with your children each morning:
I am safe.
I am loved.
I will be kind today.
I believe in my self.
I choose to be happy.
I will try not to give up.
Taking the time to tell your child ‘good job’ is so important. They care so much about what you think of them, children are naturally eager to please. Focus on the good behaviours, it makes everyone feel better! Helping build children’s emotional toolbox for a calmer life. Find more tools on their Instagram account.

Create Your Own World!
We are so incredibly pleased to introduce the first issue of new downloadable series. create your own world is a project we’ve created to help kids activate their imaginations, grow their creativity, and find some joy and humour in this challenging time.
We see it as an ode to all the dreamers and kiddos with imaginary friends…and also just for any kid who needs some tools to imagine a place where they can feel free, powerful, and safe.
We have launched this series and our companion series (“explore your own world”) as a fundraiser to support urgent medical needs related to the global pandemic. we are so grateful to all of you who have supported us on this mission by purchasing and/or sharing this campaign with others. throughout April we will be continuing to give a dollar of every purchase to the @globalgiving coronavirus relief fund.
This is a partnership project with nature based nonprofit @hikeitbaby. We salute their efforts now and always to help kids stay engaged and creative.

DIY Sensory bowls
The girls have been going nuts for these!! Use whatever you already have in your house. Seeds, nuts, lentils, corn kennels… look for different textures and sizes⠀
⠀
They each get a syringe, a bowl and a spoon. Lay down a puppy pee pad or even garbage bag with a few paper towels so you can just fold up the mess and chuck it in the garbage when they’re done⠀
⠀
I also set out a bowl of ice cubes, 2 measuring cups with coloured water, an old spice container filled with sugar, and a mini spray bottle with coloured water. Voila! They love mixing different ingredients together! ⠀
