What makes you unique as a venue?
We are a mix of a traditional country house, with a contemporary yoga studio that has underfloor heating and loads of light, stunning landscaped gardens and a beautiful location close to the sea. The yoga studio is a dream,
What type of retreats do you host/what kind of groups is your venue most suited to?
We generally host wellness, yoga and pilates retreats. Our clientele are mainly groups of women from London who wish to escape the city.
What is the best advise would you give teachers looking for a venue?
Plan ahead and pay a visit in person to get a feel for the place and scope out the spaces and rooms. Think about the British weather and where you would like to be located depending on the season
Where are you located and are you accessible via public transport?
We are located 15 minutes from Newquay airport or 25 minutes from Bodmin parkway train station.

Charney Manor, Oxfordshire (sleeps 23 – 43)
Location: Located in Charney Bassett, 1.5 hours from London, 20 minutes from the Picturesque Cotswold’s and 20 minutes from the historic Oxford.
What makes you unique as a venue?
Charney Manor is the oldest inhabited houses in Britain. It is a thirteenth century building steeped in history, located in the Oxfordshire countryside and in the midst of 3 acres of gardens, orchard and a sheep paddock.
What type of retreats do you host/what kind of groups is your venue most suited to?
We host yoga, meditation, spiritual, music and training groups. We have a variety of meeting rooms and residential accommodation in a peaceful and inspiring setting.
What is the best advise would you give teachers looking for a venue?
Book a site visit to ensure the venue in right for your group and what you are trying to achieve during your course. Ensure the venue is flexible and can cater for a variety of different dietary requirements.
Also ensure that there are no hidden costs and that you aware of everything that is included in the Residential package cost.
Where are you located and are you accessible via public transport?
There is no direct bus service to the Village, but the closest stations are either Oxford or Didcot, with a short 20 minute taxi ride you will arrive at our door.

Prince Hall Country House, Dartmoor (sleeps 20)
What makes you unique as a venue?
Prince Hall Country House is-beautifully situated in the Dartmoor National Park with its private driveway and garden it is peacefully isolated perfect fo retreats and escaping the hassle and stresses of daily life.
With the extensive garden space incorporating the woodland meditation area and flat lawns over looking the West Dart for outside Yoga sessions your groups wont be disappointed (then the hot tub is always there for a deeper unwind and then on top of this the house is full of extra goodies like the inferred Sauna, gym equipment and the sink in and soak me up sized sofa and arm chairs in the lounge for relaxation and quite times.
To wake up here with the sun light (not street noise) and bird song to draw back those curtains to take in the view of the moor and all it offers – is something you and your group wont forget.
What type of retreats do you host/what kind of groups is your venue most suited to?
We have had a few types of retreats held here, from the winter detox juice cleansing to the fitness junkies type (with our local hills and Tor’s worked very well). We offer the grounds and Barns for self catering and you have everything you need at your disposal to run your luxury retreat. Dartmoor is a wonderful place to amerce yourself to new beginnings.
We are a 9 bedroom (all en suite) country house with 7 of the 9 rooms being able to twin (and 2 of the rooms are able to have extra beds) which means you can sleep up to 20 here for your retreat in spacious style.
What is the best advise would you give teachers looking for a venue?
Know what your offering and send out a questionnaire to your students to find out what they want too.
Where are you located and are you accessible via public transport?
We are blissfully isolated here – however there is public transport to Princetown which is 5 min drive from us.
