Helios Luxury Health and Fitness Retreat Mykonos, 8th – 14th September

 

Helios Retreats host health and fitness experiences in luxury and exclusive locations in Europe with some of the world’s best trainers and yoga instructors. Join us in Mykonos for a transformational week of yoga, HIIT training and endorphin boosting workouts with fitness model Camilla Akerberg and Ollie Lee of Barry’s NYC. The Yoga is provided by our resident trainer Sarah Highfield. The setting and our retreat home for the week is at our secluded, luxury villa nearby the only lighthouse in Mykonos located on the North West of the island.

Swedish fitness model and personal trainer Camilla is coming all the way from Sydney, Australia to join us in this super retreat alongside Barry’s NYC trainer, celebrity personal trainer and newest Helios resident, Oliver Lee. Expect HIITs in the morning with these two and a lot of fun.

Should you wish to stay less days we offer the option of 6 days and 5 nights. For those staying 7 days you will receive a complimentary massage on the arrival. One of our major highlights is the food! Designed by Mr Filip Koidis, PhD in ‘Nutrition in Fat Loss’ and all meals are prepared by our Michelin trained Chef Vassilis.

We offer 24hr-security in the villa and daily housekeeping to ensure your en-suite room is looked after. Wi-Fi is available in the villa, although we encourage you to switch off from your phone and enjoy the peaceful setting. We provide complimentary transportation twice in the week to the old town of Mykonos and one trip to Nammos Beach/Scorpios. There will be one afternoon off to let your hair down and enjoy a day (and evening) out. For greater freedom and to utilise your free time, we recommend hiring a car. We want you to enjoy this week and make the most out of getting to know Mykonos and encourage trips in the week to the most exclusive beach clubs on the island, the old town and the famous Windmills, an optional boat trip to the mystical island of Delos (around €50 euros) and an optional day trip to the breathtaking ‘mega villa’ owned by our friend Zinas, a famous fashion designer in Greece, which hosts a number of Hollywood celebrities and magnates from all around the world in the summer.

EAT PRAY MOVE Yoga Venice Form+Focus Retreat, 29th October – 4th November

This is one of our continued collaborations with Julian Hyzler from EASEL&LENS to combine a look at creative focus with art projects in sketching and “ifonography” (smartphone photography) throughout the week. Yoga and meditation classes will be held daily to prepare our bodies and minds to find the calm in the magic that is Venice – and then these art projects will help us find news ways of seeing – both yoga and art working together to find FOCUS in the many layers of history, water, and beauty of the Venetian landscape. No experience required and all levels are welcome, and participation is voluntary.

Projects and classes will be offered as a completely exploratory, non-intimidating and personal experience. Guests will not only enjoy the hotel property with its traditional decor, but will also have plenty of time to explore the city, the lagoons, canals, and other nearby islands – all with their own personality. An overview visit to Venice will allow guests to get their bearings in the maze of canals, to see the major sites, and even ride the famous gondolas. Another day will be spent seeing the island of Murano, the island of glass-blowing. We’ll also venture out of Venice to a nearby “terme” town of thermal spas to get cozy by relaxing in the healthy waters and having some spa treatments. One night we’ll be able to hear voices from Venice’s past during a dinner and opera experience, and there’s also plenty of time to explore on your own as well.

PILATES GO DEEP: Luxury Pilates and Yoga Retreat in Sri Lanka, 18th – 24th November

Join us once again on our annual New Years retreat to the land of Fire & Ice! It’s the perfect way to ring in 2018 with adventure, amazing sites, wellness and creativity! Our day trips will allow us to experience the many unique landscapes and activities that this area has to offer. We will take a tour through Iceland’s famous Golden Circle which will include the main stops on the route, such as the waterfall Gullfoss (meaning “golden falls”), and the geothermally active valley of Haukadalur, which contains the geysers Geysir and Strokkur.

Though Geysir has been inactive for a long time, Strokkur, on the other hand, continues to erupt at every 5-10 minute intervals. We will also have time to explore our home for the week – the capital city of Reykjavik – to see some sites, take a walking tour, have some free-time to shop, see more of the Icelandic design, or relax before our dinner in town! A day in the village of Hveragerði will allow guests to see more of this thermal water capital and even visit various sites and thermal parks.

And a trip to Iceland wouldn’t be complete without a day at the Blue Lagoon with its healing waters, silica masks, unparalleled views, and overall spa experience! Each night we’ll stand watch for the glorious, and sometime elusive, Northern Lights – this natural phenomenon is on so many people’s bucket lists and it’s the perfect time to catch a sighting!

We are so excited to continue this special collaboration with Julian Hyzler from EASEL&LENS to combine a look at creative focus with art projects in travel journal creation throughout the week, as a mindfulness practice, to help us see and experience more presently, the new sites around us. Yoga and meditation classes will be held daily to prepare our bodies and minds to find a creative way of focus on our excursions through Iceland’s amazing landscape. No previous art or yoga background required. All levels are welcome, and participation is voluntary. Projects and classes will be offered as a completely exploratory, unintimidating and personal experience.
