Lauren started The To Go List in 2017 after friends, family, and acquaintances began asking for her travel recommendations. The blog has since allowed to visit off-beat destinations she normally may not have, and to share her experiences with people around the world. She has travelled to 21 countries, 36 states, and 8 U.S. National Parks, and counting. Everywhere is on her list.
The To Go List features everything from travel guides, to travel-related product and excursion reviews, and how to budget for your next trip.
“Lauren is a wonderfully inspiring and empowering yoga teacher. In my experience she was really able to understand what retreat guests needed and tailor the focus of the practice through movement and breathing. Lauren also has a very calming and soothing nature and was able to create a great experience for both novices and experienced practitioners in the same class – not easy at all. I miss my yoga sessions with her in the Shala.”

A large mandarin grove that gives us a juicy fruit that we harvest in the early weeks of spring. Lemon, lime, pomegranate and figs can be found here too. Lavender and rosemary bushes grow wild.
The so-called soap trees are located in a section below the mandarin grove and consists of 3 large trees. The soap trees do not originate from Mallorca, but from India, which makes them quite unique. From the soap trees, we can collect the soapberries, which has been used for centuries as a natural wash detergent. The soapberries have also been used since ancient times to make the meditation necklaces called mala beads.
Son Boronat is also the home to the Holy Tree, located in the mountains, a short walk from our pool area. This tree is one of the three oldest pine trees on the island of Mallorca, and the only one that remains wild and on private property whereas the other two are situated in public areas.
The recognition of it being a Holy Tree came about 25 years ago when a monk from Nepal visited Son Boronat and gave its blessing to the tree. The grounds around it is kept untouched and offers a beautiful excursion or place for contemplative practice or ceremony.
