The OPMD Retreat Monferrato holistic center lies in the heart of eastern Piedmont, nestled among UNESCO World Heritage vineyards and hills. It was born from the ambitious idea of Roberto and Virna to offer their guests a unique opportunity for healing and well-being, immersed in the history of an ancient place and the beauty of the surrounding nature.
Covering an area of around 450 m², our Villa Monastero is a beautifully restored former monastery dating from the 1500s. It consists of two separate parts: the Great Hall, which on the ground floor comprises the monastery’s former refectory, transformed into a splendid 200m² room for dinners and receptions, and a 19th-century addition, where the bedrooms and spa/hammam are located.
The former barn, with its typical exposed brick structure, houses the 180 m² room yoga room on the first floor and the wellness center/pool room on the ground floor.
The center is bookable for a minimum of 2 nights for groups of at least 10 people. The center is rented exclusively to one group at a time, which will guarantee you and your guests with maximum comfort and privacy for the entire duration of your event. The total capacity of the structure is 21 people.

Our seminar space is perfect for retreats, teacher training courses, group seminars, and various workshops. It is equipped with a sound system, projectors, seminar chairs, music instruments (Tibetan bowls, gongs, and drums), yoga and exercise mats, warm blankets, hammocks, and more.
Accommodation and Bathrooms
The total capacity of the structure is 21 people (all rooms are equipped with single beds, which can be converted into double beds) divided among:
- 1 single room with shared bathroom
- 3 double rooms with en-suite bathroom
- 2 double rooms with shared bathroom
- 1 quadruple room with en-suite bathroom
- 1 yurt for 6 people
Food & Catering
All meals are held in the former refectory of the monastery, which can accommodate up to 30 people.
The meals we offer are based on organic, seasonal, and locally sourced ingredients. We always use fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as whole grain flours.
The menu we offer is buffet-style, offering balanced and varied dishes to go along with the holistic practices, avoiding excesses of gluten, sugar, and lactose.
If variations are needed for allergies, intolerances, or vegan options, please inform us in advance so we can make the necessary arrangements.
