Best for: Maintaining your fitness regime whilst staying in luxury
Finally, a brand new spanking five star spa hotel that is completely dedicated to fitness and wellbeing without compromising on luxury and style. Located at the heart of the 9th district of Paris, between Montmartre and Pigalle, the Parister opened its doors in September 2017. Expect beautifully designed rooms, a huge king size bed with velvet pink and blue cushions, Nespresso coffee machine, Marshall bluetooth speaker, and heated mirrors and environmentally conscious products from Zenology in the aquamarine coloured bathroom.
In the basement of the hotel there is a proper gym and swimming pool, in collaboration with CYD (conquer your day) you choose from a daily schedule of fitness, yoga and bootcamp classes starting from 7am and taught in small groups. For a post work-out treat, luckily there’s the spa to relax in and have a stress busting massage, choose from the signature Parister – an awakening of a psychocorporeal consciousness, deep tissue, ayurvedic or shiatsu. Best for: A weekend of romance & pampering
The first thing we are struck by at the luxurious 5 star boutique hotel, La Belle Juliette is the bright, unusual and contrasting colour scheme over soft and plush fabrics. The roaring fire in the decadent lounge creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere and the spot to toast a glass of champagne.
Each floor is inspired by a different chapter in the life of the Empire–era socialite Juliette Récamier (who was immortalized by the painter Jacques-Louis David) and the walls are adorned with portraits of her closest companions, from her best friend Madame de Staël to her lover Chateaubriand. Our junior suite is elegantly decorated and well sized with a separate living area with desk and IMAC.
The spa of la Belle Juliette is a hidden gem in the basement, dimly lit, calm and seductive. The turkish bath is quite a sensory and invigorating experience, an indulgent cocoon to relax in and be soothed by the lighting that changes colour and massage jets. Massages and treatments are also available using Maria Galland and Phytomer products.

Best for: Beautiful and luxurious decor
Talk about making a grand entrance; the luxurious, and elegant boutique hotel Nolinski has the red carpet out for your welcome.
Opened in August 2017 and located in one of the most prestigious areas of Paris, in the first arrondissement on l’Avenue de l’Opera. The Nolinski is the first Parisian hotel from the EVOK Hotel Collection. The Spa Nolinski by Colline presents a swimming pool, hammam, steam room, and treatments and massages are available using the cutting-edge products of the Swiss Riviera. The setting is rather cosmic with a mirrored, starry lit ceiling and abstract landscape wall panel. An experience where the four elements unite: the soft whisper of the water, granite flooring, warm wood panelling, flickering candles all collide in a natural source of cosy wellbeing. Best for: An oasis of Parisian homeliness
Two identical hotels next to each other, one called Adele and one called Jules. Both elegant and charming with 30 rooms, a breakfast room, honesty bar and reception desk.
Located in the 9th arrondisement, known as the Opera district, the hotels are set in a peaceful courtyard off a side street, near the Grands Boulevards area and close to the famous Rue Martyrs. With everything on your door step you could very quickly become familiar with the neighbourhood and its hidden treasures.
We loved the pink and turquoise themed colours of our chic Boulevard club room; cosy, luxurious and quiet. And an immaculately clean and sparkling bathroom that dazzled in white tiles. The balcony, which always adds a Parisian touch to a hotel room, is an invitation to start the morning the Parisian way with a coffee and croissant whilst reading the newspaper.
The interior has been designed by Stéphane Poux who describes his approach as empathetic. By this he means that he likes to spend time listening to and understanding the desires of his clients and to then offer them a style that adapts to their way of life, in confidence and flexibility.
The staff really add that personal touch in the way they welcome their guests, and offer their knowledge and recommendations of where to go in Paris. You will feel right at home, and enjoy relaxing in your room after spending the day sight seeing or shopping. Between 4-6pm don’t miss the complimentary tea and caked served in the breakfast lounge to replenish your energy levels or satisfy that sweet tooth.

Best for: A temple of debauchery, glamour and spa all rolled into one
A hotel with many faces, originally the Belle Epoch of Paris, a public bath house built in 1885 by the noble Guerbois family and frequented by French novelist Marcel Prous, and then later in life, circa 1978, became the legendary nightclub and celebrity hangout, Les Bains Douches, who’s famous guests included Mick Jagger, Jonny Depp, Kate Moss and Jack Nicholson and where David Guetta was the resident DJ. The lovingly renovated building and interior design (courtesy of local interior architecture firm, RDAI and designer Tristan Auer), really have that extra wow factor. Every detail has been beautifully designed and perfectly rendered. Truly luxurious but at the same time ultra contemporary and essential.
What we most loved was that even though the hotel is boutique and only has 39 rooms, it has rather grand and social spaces to enjoy without having to go leave the premises and go elsewhere for drinking, dancing, mingling, meeting and to be seen or relax, dine and party!
The executive room we stay in was quirky and large with a king-sized bed and retro style touches such as the burnt orange Warhol-inspired sofa and the blue corded phones at the side of the bed. In the bathroom we found our own Les Bains perfume to use during our stay, Le Labo products, and branded sumptuous robes and slippers. Best for: Welcoming all types of clientele
Located in the heart of the 2nd arrondissement just steps from he former Bibliothèque Nationale de Richelieu and facing one of the most charming squares in all of Paris, the Square Louvois is a modern, elegant and charming hotel. The rich petrol blue, and metallic copper colouring palette that is prominent throughout feels chic and stylish. The designer Leslie Gauthier has managed to blend luxury with its authentic 19th century Haussmannian features very well.
It’s a good sign when you see guests relaxing in the lounge area looking right at home, especially when they are serving complimentary afternoon tea. It’s clear from the clientele that all types are welcome – business, families, couples, and individuals. It’s a dog friendly hotel too if you are travelling with your most trusted companion with you.
Rooms are beautifully designed and you get that Parisian touch with the huge windows dressed in long velvet curtains that open up to the little streets below. For families there’s an impressive duplex suite on the fifth floor with views of the Eiffel tower.

Discover the best roof top in Paris that you can have from your room at the Eiffel Blomet spa hotel. It seems big enough for at least 50 people but also discreet enough for one or two should you prefer a more intimate sun setting experience with fantastic city views.
We like to share our top secret spa hotels with you, as you are not likely to come across the hotel simply by walking past it. You will find it in the vibrant 15th district, only a 15-20 minutes walk to the Eiffel tower but away from the maddening crowds and tourists. Striking the balance between business and leisure is quite an art form and the Eiffel Blomet does a good job to please the two types of clientele.
With the wellness traveller in mind, in the basement you will find the swimming pool, gym, sauna and hammam. Best for: A Parisian Chic Spa Escape
This 4-star chic boutique hotel is nestled within the Latin Quarter – the Notre Dame, Louvre and the Pantheon all within a short walking distance. It has a romantic and luxury feel, decorated with photos of black and white scenes of the streets of Paris by Nicolas Sénégas, a splash of fuchsia pink materials on the chairs, an orange glass ceiling, locally sourced antiques (such as the two oval windows rescued from a grand Parisian residence), mirrors and lanterns hanging each side of the bed.
I felt right at home in my cosy and spacious suite with its cute little balcony, the scene of a typical Parisian street, a place to watch the world go by and write in my journal. The secret discovery of the hotel is the Wellbeing La Lanterne, a beautifully designed spa with an indoor swimming pool that lies beneath an ancient gold-stone arch, a hammam and Turkish Bath and Sensorial Shower. Best for: Hipster workaholics and wellness travellers
A new four star hotel from the Elegancia brand that combines a hotel with a co-working and wellness concept. BOB is an acronym for business on board, located in the lively Montparnasse district it’s designed to help you work, rest and play.
If you are arriving by foot you will easily find Bob as the pavements show you the way with the odd graffiti logo in blue and pink.
The lobby area is set up as a co-working space and is open publicly to individuals or for meetings. It’s the fist hotel in Paris to integrate these spaces for both guests and outside businesses. To get to the bedrooms you must walk through the patio, an urban retro themed garden with neon signage and flourishing with cacti and palm trees.

Best for: Retro glamour and wellnes
For those into retro glamour in addition to wellness, the St Marc is your hotel. Located in the 2nd arrondisement on Rue Saint Marc, just a ten minute walk from the Louvre. This 18th-century five story mansion was once the elegant abode of Louis XV’s chief minister and the headquarters for the era’s newspaper, Le National. Today, the renovated property is reborn as a 4 star boutique hotel with an art-deco super seventies look, courtesy of the designer duo, Britt Moran and Emiliano, from the Milan agency Dimore Studio.
The hidden gem of the hotel is the first class wellness area in the basement which you have the luxury of having all to yourself as it’s by advance booking only in one hour slots. There’s a relaxation pool with hydro massage, hammam and steam room to leave you feeling blissed out at the end of your sixty minutes. Best for: Exploring Saint Germain by foot
Get the five star service from the warm and welcoming staff at Le Six Hotel. Located within a short walking distance to the Jardin Du Luxembourg this boutique spa hotel is a quiet hideaway on the left bank. Owned by a family of hotel entrepreneurs who have worked in the industry for over 20 years you can expect to feel at home from the moment you are welcomed with a complimentary drink. It’s the kind of hotel that must get many repeat guests based upon all the wonderful feedback and reviews they have received over the years.
Besides the welcome drink there are other small touches we loved such as the turn down service with a single truffle chocolate on each pillow, the travel sized hand and lip creams in the bathroom by the organic skincare company Melvita and the Le Six branded journal with a pen. Perfect for making notes in whilst sat on the cute little balcony watching the sunset. Best for: A weekend away with your girlfriends
We swear the bedrooms of Le Placide hotel have had a woman’s touch when designing them. The elegant bathrooms are more like a dressing room out of a fashion shoot, towels are dressed in black ribbons and there’s a really good hair dryer, lighting, mirror and lots of space for your make up plenty of storage and hangers in the closet too, every girls dream!
A sliding door separates the bathroom from the bedroom and there are a big set of doors that bring in the natural daylight on both sides of the room. We really appreciated the spaciousness and the work desk.
Located in one of our favorite districts of Paris, the 6th arrondissement in the heart of Saint-Germain and set in a former 19th Century family home designed by decorator Bruno Borriione. We could see Le Bon Marche, Paris’s oldest and enduringly chic department store from outside the bedroom window.
The breakfast is worthy of a special menu as they have really gone to town on the fresh fruit, including strawberries and pomegranate. Although there is no spa or fitness centre personal trainers are available or sport coaches from their concierge. Read the latest reviews on Tripadvisor.

Located in the swanky 7th arrondissement, the five star Le Narcisse Blanc is a new luxury boutique spa hotel in Paris. The district is home to some of the most prestigious museums of France (Musée d’Orsay, Musée Rodin and Musée du quai Branly) and French upper class and aristocracy including the residence of the French Prime minister.
The lobby exudes a romantic and feminine feel, blooming in soft and warming hues of pearl, champagne pink, white marble and creams. The magical work of designers Laurent & Laurence who worked alongside interior decorators Thierry Martin and Thibaut Fron. The staff are exceptional at making each guest feel loved and treasured. Best for: Feeling like your living in an artists house and garden
Located in the left bank in heart of the 5th arrondissement. We fell in love with the logo of the Hotel Monge which shows a hummingbird. Iridescent in colours, the sweet little bird of joy, dainty and beautiful, symbolises courage, love, fearlessness, flexibility and adaptability.
The hummingbird is attracted to brightly coloured flowers and the decoration of the hotel Monge was conceived as a journey into the heart of the Jardin des Plantes by designers Marie-Agnès Louboutin and Patrice Henry. The tropical theme continues on the wallpaper displaying parrots and butterflies, created by the Maison Deyrolle. When it comes to the unusual, Deyrolle is perhaps one of the more idiosyncratic shops in Paris. Best for: A view of the Eiffel Tower and cocktails on the roof terrace.
The four star Le Terrass is located in the heart of Montmartre, on the corner one of our favourite streets in Paris, rue des Abbesses. We stayed in the Eiffel suite that offers a view direct from the bed or the bathroom to watch the hourly light show before bedtime. A very spacious and elegant suite, more like a New York style apartment. We loved the modern design of the hotel, and the roof terrace is the ”place to be” for a panoramic view of Paris matched with a sunset and a glass of champagne, or a to die for cocktail (or the sunrise for those early risers!).
This hotel really has it all, it’s got soul, it’s got style, the best views of Paris, phenomenal staff and the icing on the (Eiffel Tower shaped cake) – a spa of course! A haven of peace and well-being, the NUXE spa offers you a sauna and hammam, as well as treatment rooms for massages. The hotel also has ‘sport cabins’ for the fitness fanatics, situated on the 2nd and 5th floor, equipped with a bicycle and a treadmill, so one can still exercise during a rainy day in Paris. The Sezz is the hotel to go to for a romantic and pleasurable getaway. A lifestyle design hotel, oozing sex appeal. Beds take centre stage in the suites, which are adorned in chrome and red leather, and a large, big enough for two (and a comedy Sezz branded rubber duck) jacuzzi dominates the sleek, not so private bathroom with peek-a-boo glass screens. Done purposefully perhaps to add to the intimacy? As does the secret erotic drawer selling erotic toys should the mood take you.
The hotel Sezz adds further to ones pleasure with a spa area con jacuzzi and hammam, available 24 hours a day for private use. No need to put up the ‘do not disturb’ sign when you are here, privacy is most certainly guaranteed. You won’t ever have to leave the room either as each room comes with a Personal Assistant – a caretaker who is completely at your service, 24 hours a day to. Set in the heart of the very chic Right Bank area, the four star Thérèse is the perfect Parisian boutique hotel for fashionistas seeking modern comfort and having a central base to go shopping at all the swankiest shops and boutiques in the area. Tucked away from the traffic and crowds of Avenue de l’Opéra, the Thérèse is named after the wife of Louis XIV and privately owned by Madame de Lattre like its sister hotel Recamier in Saint-Germain-des-Pre.
Interior designer Jean-Louis Deniot was commissioned to do a complete transformation of the hotels public spaces and guest rooms to create a new and revamped atmosphere while retaining the retro chic style. The result is a neo-industrial design style. The cozy lounge and library area provides a post-shopping retreat to relax in one of the funky retro chairs during their complimentary tea times or ‘help yourself’ to something stronger from their honesty bar. A different kind of 4* hotel located between the Champs Elysées and the Faubourg Saint Honoré. Its design marks a new period in the work of the French designer Frédéric Mechiche, whose style has evolved from a Neo-Classical influence to a focus on modern art. Full of light, luxury and bright spaces, Le A (that’s a capital A) is a collaboration between architect/interior designer Fréderic Mechiche and and Fabrice Hybert. If you’re wondering about the simplicity of the name, here’s the story: One day, the artist Fabrice Hyber doodled a letter “A” and decided it was apt name for a hotel; “A” for rue d’Artois, “A” for Alphabet (26 rooms), “A” for Art (the hotel is an art gallery) and finally the letter « A », designed in an extended, slender form as a logo resembles the Eiffel Tower, within sight of the hotel.
Rather than a hotel, this is a home, a large private house boasting exceptional works of art and a library with over 300 books on the subjects of art, fashion, design and architecture. Each room is unique, with two works by Hybert; one declares the room’s name; the other elaborates on the theme. Stripes are Méchiche’s signature, and, depending on your room, you get them on the walls and/or the carpeting. The black and white themed bar, under a 19th-century glass roof, hangs other paintings. The Le Saint Hotel opened in January 2016 is located in one of the most desired and charming areas in Paris, St Germain-des-Prés. The beauty of the hotel starts with the outside with its pretty Haussmann exterior and flowers hanging from the balconies. Rather large for a boutique hotel by Parisian standards, Le Saint is the transformation of three hotels put together: the Lenox, the Saint Thomas d’Aquin and the Saint Vincent. The inside of the hotel is just as beautiful and luxurious with much attention to detail.
The boutique of the hotel offers exclusive signature products and custom created fragrances such as bathrobes, bath linens, fragrances, candles and confectionary. We were given a gorgeous candle and chocolates as a gift to take away a piece of the Le Saint with us. The spa or ‘wellness room’ was created by by Olivier Lecocq, an expert in the industry who’s products are 100% natural and organic. Olivier is a French masseur of Parisian palaces and expert in wellness for 20 years, this extraordinary professional has inherited a long tradition of quality and excellence. Caring for the individual and of personalization of treatments are part of the care values of this French brand. Best for: The perfect Parisian five star retreat.
We stayed at the Shangri-La the night before we embarked on a two week wellness journey to the Maldives. We rate it as being one of the best luxury hotels in Paris, along with having one of the best spa’s. It’s a palace with exceptional staff dedicated to giving top notch service and the wellbeing of their guests. You don’t need to marry a Prince to feel like a Princess in Paris, as you’ll genuinely be treated as royalty. Another hotel where we was lucky to get a close up view of the Eiffel Tower, admired from the bed with a bottle of champagne!
The magnificent CHI spa is a sanctuary of relaxation, the indoor pool the most beautiful we’ve ever seen in all Parisian hotels. If you’re vegan I highly recommend trying their 100% Vegan Afternoon Tea served in the La Bauhinia restaurant, devoid of dairy and refined sugar but absolutely delicious! Read our review!.

Best for: Glamorous and eccentric leopard print lovers
Located in the hip Marais this four-star boutique 24-room hotel which occupies a former 17th-century convent, is named after Empress Josephine Bonaparte, the legendary wife of Napoleon Bonaparte, Joséphine, and the hotel honours this iconic figure with an interior dominated by Joséphine’s other true loves – leopard print and roses – that flamboyantly decorate the hotel from head to foot.
Personally not being a fan of either floral or leopard print, we spet two nights in the ‘honeymoon’ junior suite, a black and white affair situated on the top floor. A glass of champagne is given on arrival, poured and served by a quirky and eccentric member of staff. Best for: Swimming and Spa by Clarins
The iconic Parisian Molitor is steeped in history since its birth in the summer of 1929, when Olympic athlete Johnny Weismuller, who was a lifeguard in his spare time, officially opened Piscine Molitor. For 60 years it served as the best swimming spot for Parisians (housing both an indoor and olympic-level open air pool). No ordinary pool, it was the place to be seen, buzzing with energy and hosting fashion shows, theatrical performances and galas.
In 1946 it presented the unveiling of the first bikini, designed by Louis Réard and modelled by the Casino de Paris dancer Micheline Bernardini. In the winter time it was transformed into an ice rink until the early 1970s. It was adorned with Art Deco stained glass by Louis Barillet, surrounded by three levels of cabins, resembling an ocean liner and nicknamed the ‘white cruise liner’ and you can see why, with its gleaming white rails and porthole windows. The complex ultimately closed in 1989, 60 years after its inauguration and was listed as a historical monument. Read our review!.
