7Pines Ibiza

When it comes to yoga and wellbeing retreats in Ibiza, there are hundreds to choose from, but finding a hotel that offers more than just a spa can be challenging. The luxury five star 7Pines resort is leading the wellness way on the Island with its in house detox and rebalance programs, fitness and weight loss retreats and a calendar of visiting practitioners specialising in Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine.

Having lived in Ibiza for several years I’ve gotten used to the windy, bumpy, steep and narrow country lanes. To get to 7Pines it’s best to hire a car and you will find it nestled in a pine grove on the cliffs of the west coast between Cala Conta and the more secluded Cala Codolar.

Upon entering the private road that leads down to the hotel reception, we are greeted by the valet parking attendant who takes care of the car whilst we enjoy a very leisurely, and informal check-in with champagne as we take in the breathtaking views.

There aren’t many places you can get such a magnificent and unobstructed view of Es Vedrà from your sun lounger. The adults only infinity pool is the place to be to fully appreciate the cliff side setting.

Rooms

There are no rooms at 7Pines. Instead there are three categories of one and two bedroom suites – The Laguna Suites, Ibicenco Village and the Cliff Suites. For the best sea views, space and privacy go for the duplex two-bedroom Cliff Suites.

Spa

The Pure Seven Spa is focused on nature-inspired treatments. There’s a whole range of massages, healing treatments, facials and rituals on the menu.

All the products are 100% natural, vegan and paraben-free. It’s also a plastic-free spa where the water comes in a cardboard box, all the surfaces are made of wood or natural stones and even the underwear they offer and the special pyjamas for the Thai massage are made from 100% organic cotton.

Pure Seven Spa Director Lucía Peris boasts over 20 years’ experience in the international wellness field. A true pioneer of the wellness industry in Spain, she has been responsible for introducing wellness concepts in high-end spas and destinations, developing treatment menus and training the country’s finest therapists before her journey led her to Ibiza.

Here, her passion for wellness and desire to create exceptional experiences for guests was the perfect match for Seven Pines Resort Ibiza’s environmentally-focused ethos and stunning location.

The space that has been created is perfect for a retreat or just to take advantage of the wellness facilities such as attending one of the yoga or pilates classes, working out at the gym and then enjoying the relaxation areas with a healthy smoothie.

7 Pines Ibiza

I recommended the three hour ritual retreat package that has been masterminded by the Neom Organic team – drawing together the most effective of six therapies – meditation, shiatsu, cranio, Thai massage, trigger point and reflexology. Three and seven night retreats are also available.

Dining

Breakfast is served in the aptly named ”The View” restaurant and we spent a few hours here every morning indulging in all the delicious food (there’s plenty on the menu for health conscious and vegan like me), and in the evening came back to watch the sun set with a glass of wine.

Then there’s the Cone Club – which proposes a menu of Mediterranean sharing plates infused with Arabic and South Asian flair. Open from lunch to dinner and offering yet another stunning spot to watch the sunset from, accompanied by a signature cocktail or something from their sangria menu.

For late night drinks the Pershing Yacht terrace, is a cocktail bar that emulates a Pershing 70 yacht in design.
